“Oh wie schoen ist Panama!”

Dieses Buch von Janosche kennt ihr doch oder? Drei Tage war ich in Panama, auf der Isla Bastimentos im Nationalpark Bocas del Toro! Ich kann nur bestaetigen, wie schoen Panama, bzw. Bastimento ist. Inzwischen und auf anderen Reisen habe ich schon viel gesehen, aber hier ist es wirklich,das Paradies! Eine grosse Insel, mit einem winzigen Ort, Holzhaeuser auf Stelzen, auch das Hausschwein wohnt in einer solchen Huette ueber dem Wasser. Rund um die Insel immer wieder andere , nahezu unberuehrte Straende, tuerkisblaues klares Wasser, ungefaehrlich zum Schwimmen, und verschiedene Schnorchel- und Tauchgebiete!
Hier auf der Insel wird gerade eine neue Folge von der Fernsehserie Robinson oder Survivors gedreht. Ein Strand war abgesperrt. Der Dschungel reicht bis an den Strand heran und es wachsen verschiedene Fruechte hier, unter anderem “Noni”, eine Frucht die Diabetis heilt und Krebs vorbeugt und jung haelt!Leider muss man warten bis sie verfault und stinkt, dann wird daraus ein uebelschmeckender Saft zubereitet! Mehr von diesem Abenteuer am Sonntag! Liebe Gruesse an alle, die mir immer wieder schreiben.Freue mich immer riesig! Ich vermisse die Schule ein wenig, meine Salsafreunde sehr, und natuerlich meine Familie!

Folge 2, Survivors
Also Bastimento hat mich sehr beeindruckt, so dass ich meine Zeit dort eigentlich verlaengern wollte. Wir waren unterwegs in einer kleinen Gruppe mit unserem Reiseleiter Willi aus Koeln. Mit einem Gruppenmitglied, dem Weltenbummler R. aus B. hatte ich trotz sonderpaedagogischer Ausbildung grosse Probleme. Sein Aeusseres bot schon viel Anlass zu Gespraechsstoff. Ihm fehlten weit mehr als nur die vier vorderen Zaehne. Seine Brille hatte nur ein Glas, eine Figur wie Samson aus der Sesamstrasse. Vorzugsweise nackter Oberkoerper mit tiefhaengendem Bauch und freigelegter Pospalte. Die Shorts waren im Schritt 20 cm aufgerissen…..Bei unseren Wanderungen durch den schlammigen Dschungel trug er seine geliebten Cordhausschuhe! Fremdsprachenkenntnisse hatte er eher keine, war aber schon weit gereist. Dafuer stellte er den ganzen Tag die unmoeglichsten Fragen, so dass der Eindruck entstand, ohne uns waere er verloren.

Unsere Unterkunft auf Bastimento bestand aus zwei kleinen Holzhaeusern auf Stelzen, zwischen denen sich ein weiteres Haeuschen, das Bad befand. Als ich mir morgens draussen die Zaehne putzte, sah ich ihn im Spiegel ankommen. Vier Stufen waren zu erklimmen, um das Bad zu erreichen, wo ich stand. Ploetzlich ein lauter Krach, und er lag mir baeuchlings kniend zu Fuessen, die Holztreppe auf ihm, unbeweglich wie ein Kaefer! Mir blieb die Buerste im Hals stecken. Eine von vielen Geschichten!
Als ich vom Schwimmen wiederkam, sass er auf meinem Badetuch und grinste, sein von Salzwasser voellig verdrecktes eines Brillenglas wollte er ernsthaft mit dem frischgewaschenen weissen T-Shirt einer Schweizerin aus unserer gruppe putzen! Es war einfach unglaublich, wenn es auch ein wenig gemein klingt!

Nun zum Inselleben: der Bruder unserer Hausbesitzerin hatte gerade vor drei Wochen mit einer Machete seinen Vater getoetet! Er sass natuerlich im Gefaengnis, auf einer kleinen Gefaengnisinsel, auf der sich die Waerter nachts einsperren, und die Schwerverbrecher frei herumlaufen.
In Bastimentos arbeitet keiner wirklich ernsthaft. Hier und da mal eine Bootstour fuer Touris machen, Lebensmittel in der Pulperia verkaufen und aehnliche Sachen. Jeden Montag ist blauer Montag und es wird gefeiert, dass die Holzstege wackeln. Die Bastimentos Beach Boys holen ihre Instrumente heraus und alle fahren mit ihren booten an einen entfernten strand, wo es nur eine kleine Bar unter Palmen gibt. Dann wird Musik gemacht, Bier und rum getrunken und getanzt. Manchmal kommt die Polizei und macht mit. Ein kleines Stueck weiter lebt seit 40 Jahren der Eremit Polo in seiner wackeligen Huette an seinem Traumstrand. Inzwischen ist er 60 Jahre alt, gesund und munter durch Noni, die besondere Frucht. Jeden Tag kocht er einen Riesentopf voll Buschessen, Reis mit Linsen, gegart in Kokosmilch, frisch gefangenen Fisch oder Lobster, Gemuese und Salat. Fuer 5 Dollar kann man eine Portion davon geniessen. Lecker!! Fuer sich allein bereitet er oft Buschratte zu! Polo trinkt den ganzen Tag Bier und raucht Marihuana. Ab Mittags faengt er an laut zu fluchen, aber in Wirklichkeit ist er ein herzensguter Mensch.
Abends in der Disco wird die Anlage ohrenbetaeubend laut aufgedreht. Die Leute stellen sich direkt vor die boxen und schreien sich an. Alle sind schwerhoerig, den ganzen Tag bruellen sie sich etwas zu. Der beste Taenzer der Insel ist mindestens einen Kopf kleiner als ich und koennte als Komiker im Fernsehen auftreten. In Anbetracht dieses gewoehnungsbeduerftigen Lebensstils wollte ich dann doch nicht allein mit den Insulanern auf ihrer Insel bleiben, aber…..es ist ein echtes Paradies dort!
