Wieder unterwegs!

Dieses Mal wird es sicher ziemlich abenteuerlich, denn wir fahren auf die Molukken, eine Inselgruppe zwischen den Philippinen und Neuguiena und Bali. Viel konnten wir darüber nicht herausfinden, weil dort kaum Touristen hinfahren. Über Bahrein und Muscat geht es nach Jakarta. Von dort müssen wir sehen, wie wir weiterkommen, mindestens noch 7 weitere Flugstunden werden uns erwarten. Hoffentlich erwarten uns dort keine Seebeben oder Vulkanausbrüche. Bis Bald!

Hinflug und Jakarta

Wider Erwarten hatten wir einen recht angenehmen Hinflug, bis auf einige Turbulenzen in Indonesien und laengere Wartezeit in Bahrein wegen Problemen am Motor!! Interessant sind die Flughaefen Bahrein und Muscat im Nahen Osten. Hier ist die Welt vereint! Afrikaner aus dem Norden und Sueden, Araber, europaer, Asiaten…
Maenner in bodenlangen bluetenweissen Hemden mit den verschiedensten Kaeppchen auf dem Kopf. Araber mit Turbanen, barfuss auf den kalten klimatisierten Airportfussboeden. verschleierte Frauen in Variationen, vom Kopftuch ueber schwarzes Tuch mit winzigen Sehschlitzen bis hin zur voelligen Verschleierung. Unter den langen schwarzen Maenteln schauen Jeans und Stoeckelschuhe hervor.
Auch weissgewandete Maenner mit rotweissen Arafattuechern und mehreren Frauen. Scharen von Kindern. Inderinnen in wunderschoenen Saris, srilankische Gastarbeiter. Hier gibt es alles!
Im Flugzeug nach Jakarta sind wir dann nur noch 10 Europaer, ansonsten froehliche Indonesierinnen mit Kopftuechern.
Angekommen in Jakarta versuchen wir uns durch den Dschungel an kleinen Airlines durchzuschlagen um einen Weiterflug auf die Molukken oder in den Norden von Sulawesi zu bekommen. Gar nicht so einfach, wenn man schnell weiter will.

Nach 20 stuendigem Flug entschliessen wir uns doch zu einem Tag Pause in Jakarta. Mit dem Bus geht es eine Stunde durch die haessliche schmutzige Stadt. Nun sind wir in der Jalan Jaksa, in etwa vergleichbar mit der Kao San Road in Bangkok vor vielleicht 20 Jahren. Kleine Gassen mit Essensstaenden, Schmutz, Moscheen, knatternde Mopeds und hupende Autos, und Tuktuks, die hier aber anders heissen.
Beim Abendessen merken wir schnell, dass hier nicht nur das Traveller-, sondern auch das Prostituiertenviertel ist. Nicht immer erkennt man, ob die gute Dame eine Frau oder ein Mann ist! Aha! sie biegt ab zum Pinkelbecken und nicht zur Damentoilette!

Hier sind wir wohl die einzigen, die sich ganz keusch und armbedeckt kleiden in dieser muslimischen Welt! Trotzdem setzt sich beim Abendessen unaufgefordert ein komisch dreinblickender Inder an unseren Tisch und beglotzt uns. Nach einer Weile faengt er an zu erzaehlen und moechte uns gerne in unser Hotel begleiten. Irgendwas hat der hier aber nicht kapiert. Es dauert nicht lange und ein hueftschwingendes Wesen erregt seine Aufmerksamkeit und keine 3 Minuten spaeter verschwindet er mit ihr/ihm um die Ecke!


Bei einem kleinen Gang durch das Viertel liefern sich die handtellergrossen Kakerlaken Wettlauefe und Wettfluege. Igitt!! Ich wusste nicht, dass die auch fliegen koennen!
Nachts schlafen wir komatoes und sind empoert, dass jemand um 12.15 mittags an unsere Tuer klopft, um zu fragen, ob wir noch einen Nacht bleiben wollen!! 12 Stunden haben wir geschlafen!
Das Fruehstueck nehmen wir wieder in unserem Lokal ein, wo das Leben des Viertels so schoen zu beobachten ist. Gleich merken wir, dass hier dicke Luft ist. Ein Mann weint, wird von einem anderen getroestet. An einem anderen Tisch wurde schon viel Bier getrunken. Die europaeoscjem Maenner dort sind auch irgendwie aufgeregt und Aerger liegt in der Luft. Es geht hin und her, kommt fast zur Schlaegerei. Ein netter Englaender kommt zu uns und entschuldigt sich dafuer. Er lebt seit 6 Jahren hier und gibt uns ein paar Informationen. Sehr interessant. Eine Katze lauft durchs Lokal und traegt stolz ihre Beute, eine grosse Ratte!!


Gleich gehts fuer uns weiter nach Manado, ein vier Stunden Flug.
Der Vulkan Merati brodelt hier ein bisschen. Er liegt inmitten von Java. Falls er ausbrechen sollte, wird es von Java nur noch das J und das a am Ende geben, werden wir hier informiert, also nichts wie weg hier!!
